
Real estate agents in India work in an unregulated environment. Responsibilities of the agent to his client and vice versa , between the agent and property developers , between the agent and his associates are not regulated by law. Brokerages are different in different parts of India. The result is that many misunderstandings occur.
The term NAR-INDIA PROFESSIONAL MEMBER has come to the connote competency, fairness and high integrity resulting from adherence to a lofty ideal of moral conduct in business relations. No inducement of profit and no instruction from clients ever can justify departure from this ideal.
BRA-I was the first real estate association in India to set up a Grievances Cell which aims to settle disputes without resorting to the law.
